          • was thinking of not doing a reading component but giving away prizes for those who post to the Teen Review during that week

        • want to keep book club

          • don't want it only online - could we combine in person and online? possibly
  • Dates for Advisory Meeting 
    • request to think about availability for the fall
    • do we keep the Wednesdays at 5:00 - (votes - yes)
    • recruitment is going to be necessary
      • possibly send out a flyer to the schools (upper elementary 5th grade, middle and high school)
  • Teen Newsletter
    • do we still want to publish - yes
    • new layout - making it a single page double sided
      • front side will contain the feature article, new to the shelf, book talk, fun & games, and maybe a bit more if it fits.  The back side will be the list of the events for each season (3 months worth).
        • prefer this to the large library newsletter - we want to find our stuff quickly and not have to look though all the other stuff
    • idea - could we make the fun & games section a challenge so that if you complete it and bring it in you can get a prize?  Could but all the prizes might be a problem financially but we'll look into it.

    • April - lock-in, McDonalds fundraiser, movie night

    • Movie Theater trip - we can't do this year due to a lack of funding
  • TAB only events
    • Barnes and Noble visit - member want it in May, see if its possible to purchase a mix of media (books, cds and dvds)
    • Vernal Pool Hike at Buffumville in April - going Wednesday, April 9, if you're interested in going let Miss Renee know by April 2nd 
  • Ideas
    • Fall - 
      • programs - science magic, lockins, minute to win it, craft: button pins,
      • Play for the little kids - Goldilocks and the 3 bears - script currently being written, will discuss further in August.
  • Summer
    • preview summer program and calendar
    • script for ad is in the works
    • attempt a TAB only event this summer - go to the beach
      • Buffumville beach vs. Ocean beach

  • Newsletter
    • library is putting out a larger newsletter which will include teen events - this makes the Teen Scene obsolete
    • what do you want to do with the other parts of the Teen Scene (book talk, fun stuff, new to shelf and feature)
      • 2 options - get rid of it all together, or shrink it and make it an insert in the larger library newsletter
        • members voted to make Teen Scene an insert.
  • Fundraisers: does the TAB want to be able to some fundraising?
    • Members voted yes
    • to do this TAB will have to become junior Friends ($1.00 membership dues)
    • fundraising ideas: read-a-thon, put a librarian in the display case, raffle items
    • members decided it would be best to fundraise only for a specific program rather than raise funds with nothing particular in mind.
    • Will come back to this for further discussion.
